By Brian Atuhura.
With the recent spatial rainfalls that Masindi District is facing, the District Agriculture Officer Job Byaruhanga has advised Farmers to plant cereals since they can survive even when the rains are not sufficient.
Byaruhanga has said cereals like maize, rice, sorghum among others need little rains to germinate.
He has however, cautioned farmers against planting leguminous crops like beans, soya beans, g-nuts among others to wait until the rains are stable since these crops need sufficient rains to perform well.
Hwe was speaking to the Communication Officer today while in his Office.
