Masindi District has officially opened the newly constructed Trade Offices following a prayer and dedication ceremony held on Wednesday this week, marking a new chapter for the district's commercial services.

The dedication comes after years in which the district's trade staff operated in an unconducive environment, surrounded by bars and frequent disturbances,a situation that affected efficiency and dignity at work.
The new office block was donated by Tegras Byeitima,a prominent business entrepreneur in Masindi District,in a gesture aimed at supporting improved public service delivery and strengthening the district's trade and commercial operations.
Addressing staff during the prayer breakfast, the Chief Administrative Officer, Samuel Ruhweza Kaija, caller for discipline, commitment and continuous self improvement among public servants. He encouraged staff to pursue further studies as a pathway to career progression and improved service delivery.
Meanwhile, the newly promoted District Commercial Officer, Moses Kalyegira, expressed gratitude to God for the milestone and thanked the district leadership, particularly the CAO,for the support that enabled his promotion. He encouraged fellow staff members to remain focused and hardworking, noting that dedication and performance are key to professional advancement.
The opening of the new Trade Offices is expected to improve coordination, efficiency and effectiveness in delivering trade and commercial services, while providing a more professional working environment for staff and clients alike.
