Masindi District bids farewell to veteran Agriculture Officer Abdul Mukasa after 28 years of service

The staff of Masindi District have officially bid farewell to their retiring Assistant Agriculture Officer, Abdul Mukasa, following his attainment of the mandatory retirement age.
Mukasa concludes an illustrious 28 year career in public service, having served the district from 1998 to 2026.
Throughout this period,he dedicated himself to providing agricultural extension services to farmers across the district, contributing significantly to improved farming practices and rural livelihoods.
Speaking as the Chief Guest at his farewell ceremony held on Wednesday this week at the district headquarters, Mukasa expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that such occasions had long overlooked extension staff upon retirement.
Reflecting on his early years in service,he recalled the challenges he faced, particularly the lack of transport to effectively reach farmers in remote areas.Despite these difficulties,he remained committed to his duties.
Mukasa also commended the district leadership for fostering a harmonious working environment, which he said enabled him to not only serve diligently but also support his family, including paying school fees for his children.
During the same function,the Principal Assistant Chief Administrative Officer,Musa Kyamiza, described Mukasa as a hard working and dependable officer who consistently fulfilled his assignments on time, earning him a clean record upon retirement.
The District Agriculture Officer,Job Byaruhanga, praised Mukasa for his discipline, respect for authority,and dedication to service throughout his tenure.
Mukasa leaves behind a legacy of commitment and Professionalism that will be remembered by both colleagues and the farming community he served.
