Administration
The office is responsible for overseeing, supervision and management of all programmes in the Production Sector. These Include but not limited to; the mandatory functions of Central Government core ministry and those decentralized. Additionally, there is coordination of activities of the various development partners, and, quality assurance, value for money and overall financial and assets management. The implementation of Government Production policies, regulations and programmes must be well coordinated on which basis the District council and stakeholders are guided and advised on the formulation and development of Production strategic Action Plans and Programmes.
Both endogenous and exotic pests, diseases, vermin and epidemics of both Livestock and crops have to be monitored and control strategies put in place. Such strategies include control and, exclusion using conventional methods and legislature.

- Conducted workshop to link SACCOS and NAADS.
- Conducted technology review workshop and a number of technical meetings and workshops
- Coordinated, supervised carried out technical audits of projects under production and marketing to ensure proper implementing (NAADS, SACCOS, VODP and other programmes.
- Mobilized community focusing on increasing production, productivity, household incomes and existing opportunities in agro enterprises
- Trained farmers in viable agro enterprises and participatory planning.
- Conducted enforcement operations focusing on prevention of disease prevention in livestock and crops
